Blog about wikis
I signed in to Wikibooks at http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Main_Page and it has many topics, including ESL. I'll be able to explore the information and contribute to it. I can also share it with other teachers to help them work with ELL students. I also am going to use the wiki that Rachel discovered: ESL Awareness at http://diversitygroup-esl.wikispaces.com/. I registered for delicious and added them to my bookmarks. I think this will be a great way to organize all of the websites and save them for later because sometimes I don't have time to read them thoroughly. I look forward to looking at the bookmarks of other people in class.

I think what I like best about delicious is that I can log on anywhere to see my bookmarks. I also like the idea that we can check out what others have for their bookmarks.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Sara. I know what you mean about not being able to fully absorb all the information we are getting. I like the idea of saving the interesting links for later. I am a digital hoarder too, so this will help me stay organized without feeling overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteWe'll also be using a common tag for delicious in another week, so you can share things you find with others. I've found that really useful in classes so if one person finds something good we can all see it.
